How did I lose that game?

We built Crossmap for the player staring at a loss they can’t explain. League of Legends’ knowledge has been handed down like scripture — claimed, never measured. Crossmap measures it. Every answer traces to real games, real numbers, real evidence, so the gap between what a coach says and what actually wins finally closes.

Measured over 6,573 games we pulled ourselves.

16.19 live.

If my team is ahead in gold, are we the ones who take the next dragon?

Yes, and by a wide margin that grows with the size of the lead.

richer_takes_first_dragon = 62.5% (n=1,542); at 16.16: 62.5% (n=1,069); at 16.17, the live patch: 62.3% (n=533)

When do laners actually leave their lanes - and when I'm thinking about rotating, what does everyone else at my rank actually do?

Laners mostly stay home, and how much depends on the seat: top laners are off their lane the least by far, bot carries a little more, mid roughly twice bot, and supports several times anyone else.

support_off_lane = 0.313 (n=26,309) at 16.14; 0.321 (n=23,842) at 16.16

What does a jungle minute actually pay — farming, versus doing anything else?

A farming minute is the jungler's steady wage, in gold and even more so in experience.

farm_gold_per_minute = 382 gold median (IQR 303-502, n=23,308 farming minutes) at 16.14; 390 gold median (IQR 307-508, n=21,299) at 16.16

My team just took (or gave up) the first dragon - what does that actually mean for the objectives that come next?

The team that takes the first dragon usually keeps taking dragons: the second drake goes to the same team about two times in three, and the race to three drakes goes to the first taker about four times in five.

race_to_three = 0.841 (n=674) at 16.16; 0.808 (n=757) at 16.14
